On the inside of the pants is a small white rectangular strip. This marks the back of the pants. Placing that strip on the outside of the pants would interfere with the clean solid look of the pants.

Would appreciate that it was available in smaller sizes and suggest a lower waistline for maximum comfort

I've tried both the men's blue and these ladies black pants; they're identical except for the colour, packaging and the men's ones have a little tab on the back for fastening them up when used.
They are both a unisex shape, comfortable, discreet and absorb equally well.
I used to wear black boxer-briefs before my disability, so to have a black-colour pant option that fits guys too gives added confidence. I just have to ignore the female-targeted packaging!
