What is nocturnal enuresis?

Nocturnal enuresis, also known as bedwetting, is the involuntary release of urine while asleep. It's extremely common, and bedwetting is considered a normal part of childhood development.

Most children will grow out of it on their own, but in some circumstances it can continue on into adolescence or even adulthood.

What can I do to manage nocturnal enuresis?

If you, your child or the person you care for are experiencing nocturnal enuresis, remember that it's always a good idea to discuss it with health professionals as they may be able to run any tests to check for underlying health conditions as well as provide advice tailored to your unique situation.

In conjunction with that, we also recommend using the following - either on their own or in combination with another:

Pull-up pants

Pull-up pants are intended to be used in the place of regular underwear to offer comfortable and discreet protection from accidents and leaks. They're made from slimline materials so they're invisible under clothing, while the patented Magical Tube absorption technology means they stay super absorbent with leak-proof barriers.

Fitted with active odour locking material and a flash-dry top sheet, they're designed to keep you fresh and dry for 12 hours - so they'll keep you (or your child) protected all through the night.

They're dermatologically tested and latex free so they won't irritate or damage your skin, either!

Waterproof sheets, quilt covers and pillow cases

Waterproof sheets, quilt covers and pillow cases are a fantastic reusable option to protect your mattress, doona and pillows from any overnight accidents, making clean up in the morning easier than ever.

They're made from soft microfibre or terry fabric with a waterproof coating, and the quality materials used are super soft (so no crinkle noises if you roll around in bed!) but also extremely durable and are able to be machine washed and tumble dried at low heat up to 300 times.

They're available in sizes to fit all matresses, from single all the way to king size.

Bedding protector pads

Bedding and furniture protector pads are perfect for providing an extra layer of protection over your sheets and mattress. They're made from an absorbent layer to lock away liquid and is sealed on all sides with waterproof backing to ensure there's no leakage back onto the sheets or furniture.

There are reusable and disposable options and come in a range of sizes, so you can find the best option to suit your needs.
